Our Recruitment Process

  • We’re excited to meet you and tell you more about Grunt, the role, and answer any questions you might have. During the screening call, we’ll focus on getting to know you, learning about your background, and understanding your interest in the position.
    30-45 minutes, virtual.

  • This is where we get to know each other better. In this interview, the hiring manager would like to tell you more about Grunt and the position, get to know you and your experiences better, and answer any questions you might have.

    It is important to us to get to know you, and to give you an arena to get to know us so that we can discuss whether we would be a good fit.
    45-60 minutes, virtual or in-person.

  • You'll meet with the Hiring Manager and an additional team member for a case interview, where you can showcase your problem-solving skills and expertise.

    Our goal is to get a closer look at how you work and think, but also ensure that you gain insight into what it’s like working with Grunt through real information that represents relevant responsibilities and tasks.
    60 min, in-person.

    We might ask you to complete online psychometric assessments for some positions, followed by a readback of the test results. This intends to get to know more about who you are in a work-related setting and tell you more about Grunt as a workplace. If psychometric tests are used for a position you've applied for, our Talent Advisor will inform you in the screening call.
    60 min, virtual.

  • We hope you’re hungry, because the final interview will be a casual meet-and-greet lunch with some team members! We’re excited to get to know you outside an interview setting. This is also a great opportunity for you to get to know some of your potential future colleagues, so feel free to also ask any questions you have about who they are, what it's like working at Grunt, or anything else you might be wondering at this stage.

  • At this stage, we’ll ask you for your references. We wish to talk to some of your previous colleagues to learn more about your work style, and achievements, and verify your past employment.

  • Congratulations, you have made it to the offer stage! We are impressed with your skills and would be thrilled to have you join our team and be part of building our company. We’ll discuss the final details of the role, compensation, and perks. 

    We can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together, let’s make it official!

About Grunt

Welcome to Grunt, the epicenter of data-driven storytelling located in Oslo, Norway. Since the start our mission has been to revolutionize how professionals visualize data, turning complex figures into powerful narratives that inform and inspire better decision-making.

Our founder, Mads Gedde, a former consultant for Boston Consulting Group, was fed up with the constant grind of Excel and PowerPoint. He asked himself how data presentation could be made easier and more impactful. Drawing on his background in software engineering, he built tools to help his teams automate many of the tedious tasks in Excel and PowerPoint; a solution that eventually became Grunt.
